hi, Woophy staff,
is it possible to remove an old function ?
it's about change a pic but save comments , in case of small improvement in a pic as a little crop ,for example.

it is not a bad idea but what if people start changing pictures not for improved ones but for others. Then the comments would not fit the pciture anymore

Maybe the best solution is to moderate these changes... but it takes a lot of time since the moderator would check every picture modification request!

so, the only improvement interesting Woophians seems to be about rating ! i'm a bit disappointed

Not exactly they are also worried about some kind of uploading limit... la rafale...

i miss this function too la rafale....
would be nice to have it back. sometimes it was really helpful!
i would also worry about the sizes of the pictures... if there is a 1mb it takes too much time to load and it is really not necessery to have it that 'big'. would save some free spaces too

I don't know about the Woophians but some recent things changed in Woophy and we plan to continue improving.
Things high on our list at this moment are
- improving the awareness of members that Woophy is not a place to dump 100 mediocre pictures of the same subject a.k.a upload limit
- improving the map function so that the map and position of the photos is more precise
- introducing the travel blog for all members
- improving the recently introduced functions
- trying to cater as much as possible the wishes and suggestions of our members like La rafale
Just to illustrate, one month ago I posted this Topic
Big and small improvements
Following many suggestions from our members and of course form the new member board we introduced some improvements today.
The overall aim of the improvements is to make it more easy to find the most interesting pictures. Also we wanted to create a possibility for our members to write something about their photography.

Members page
- latest member
- latest blog entry by a member
- most favourite photographers
- blogs tab
Photos page (formerly known as search)
- most recent photos
- top rated today
- most favourite photos
- improved search function with the possibility to combine and to order search results (except for keywords witch will remain a point of future improvement)
- improved calendar browsing with the possibility to browse by day, week (number) and month. Also you can organize the search results
My Woophy
- the possibility to start your own photo blog

And about the suggestion made by La Rafale
As I said I don't think it is a bad idea I just see some practical difficulties which you did not react on, like
- what if somebody changes the picture for another one (we are not going to moderate)
- isn't it strange that the comments don't suit the picture anymore (tilted horizon when there is no tilted horizon anymore)
In fact I understand the idea but wouldn't it be better if we could connect two of our pictures with a link or something? Or just post a new image and delete the old one after a while.
